In the first quarter of 2024, the Hack and Slash category on iOS in Europe has seen varying performance across top applications. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into how these games have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat from YunChang Games started strong with nearly 200K downloads in its release week but saw a steady decline to 3K downloads by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also followed a downward trend, starting at 190K and dropping to 52K, while revenue decreased from $59K to $19K.
The recent release, Hades - NETFLIX, by Netflix, Inc., garnered significant attention with 68K downloads in its debut week, although this figure halved the following week. Weekly active users, interestingly, increased from 60K to 75K. Revenue in the two weeks following its release was relatively modest, starting at $516 and falling to $231.
Pocket Knights2: Dragon War by Enjoy Game Inc showed an intriguing pattern with a spike in downloads to 27K in the second week of February, but downloads were nearly non-existent in the weeks before and after. Weekly active users peaked at 17K in early February but dropped to 5K by the end of March. Revenue fluctuated throughout the quarter, with a high of $859K and a low of $389K.

Lastly, Disney Mirrorverse by Kabam Games, Inc. demonstrated a steady state of downloads, hovering between 1K and 2K weekly. Weekly active users stayed within the 13K to 15K range throughout the quarter. Revenue for the title saw a peak of nearly $6K in mid-March but experienced a slight decrease to $4K by quarter's end.
